Emilia Romagna Grand Prix: Friday

The 16th round of the 2021 season has started at the iconic Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, and that means it’s time to enjoy the Grand Prix of the Emilia Romagna. We’ve gathered some nice memories here recently, as Dennis Foggia took victory a month ago. Today’s been the first day of practice sessions and these have been Friday highlights:

  • Early this morning riders found wet conditions and cold temperatures, a situation that was going to affect the performance.
  • Spanish rider Xavi Artigas had a little issue on the bike at the beginning of the session and luckily, after fixing it, the rider managed to push on the wet and ended up 13th.
  • Teammate and Italian rider Dennis Foggia finished the 17th at the end of the practice, not pushing too much to avoid risks.
  • Then in the afternoon, our riders had to face rain again: they tried to gather information and do laps while paying attention to tricky conditions.
  • Finally, on the combined standings of Friday, Xavi Artigas has ended up 18th and Dennis Foggia the 23rd.
  • There’s still work to do, let’s hope for a dry Saturday, and let’s do our best!
We’ve had a problem on the bike and then lap by lap I’ve felt good. During the FP2, despite the final result on the combined standings, I’ve had good feelings and I believe we can do a solid job this weekend”.
