Grand Prix of Malaysia: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the Malaysian Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández and Guido Pini crossing the finish line in 7th and 12th positions respectively:

  • Both Le0pard riders got off to a good start today. Adrián Fernández moved up from 9th to 7th, while Guido Pini gained two positions to run 12th. Involved in a tight battle during the early stages of the race, the Spaniard dropped to 8th, while the Italian had moved up to 10th.
  • After dropping to 8th, Adrián Fernández pushed forward, soon overtaking to sit 6th on Lap 7. The Spaniard tried his best until the end, eventually finishing today’s race in 7th place. Guido Pini, for his part, had dropped to 14th by Lap 7, but managed to fight his way back to cross the finish line in 12th place today.
  • See you in Qatar next week!
“It was a difficult race. I wasn’t feeling great physically, and the feeling with the bike wasn’t the best either. We had to fight harder than I expected, although I did think we would have a little more to give. That’s how things went today. We managed to secure a seventh-place finish, and now our focus is already on Qatar.”

“It was a pretty difficult race. I was feeling really good at the beginning, but then there was contact with another rider, which pushed me off track. I lost quite a few positions and a lot of time, not being able to make up as many places as I would have liked. But, as always, we have to focus on the positives, and the good thing is that I’ve felt pretty good on the bike this weekend. Starting from further back is never easy, but our pace wasn’t bad. We need to take these positive feelings into Qatar, keep believing in ourselves and continue working.”
