Le0pard rider Dennis Foggia has taken the 5th spot of the grid and teammate Jaume Masia will start tomorrow from the 13th place. A decent result for the Le0pard Racing in Brno.
Yesterday we said the Czech Grand Prix seemed to be our silver lining and so far, and even if crunch time will be tomorrow, things have improved and hopes are high. Moto3 it’s known for being quite a jungle and rivals are strong, but those elements won’t stop the Le0pards. As customary, we will try our best.
This morning at 9.00am Moto3 riders had green light to test their chances on the FP3, but a sanction imposed yesterday evening to Jaume Masia and Dennis Foggia (and to 13 other riders) due to slow riding forced them to miss the first 10 minutes of the session. However, and having fewer minutes than the rest, Masia improved his lap times and finished the 2nd. That was a pretty result but he missed the yellow flag on track at that moment of the FP3 and had to go to Q1, after seeing his best lap cancelled. On the other side of the box, Dennis Foggia went straight to Q2. The rider admitted yesterday feeling better on the bike and throughout today the team and the rider have confirmed those sensations.
Masia did his job on Q1 and crossed the line among the ones who had another opportunity on Q2. There he battled with the rest and finished 13th. Italian Dennis Foggia, being full motivated to finally take a nice spot of the grid, managed to cross the line the 5th. Therefore Dennis will start tomorrow from the second line of the starting grid. This is his best qualifying result so far, and we expect it to be the first of many more this season. From the technical point of view, our bikes have been the first and second fastest, ridden by Dennis and Jaume respectively.
Stay tuned and do not miss any detail, race is taking place tomorrow at 11.00am! Are you ready?
