Gran Premio de España: Friday

The European leg of the 2025 season got underway today at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto with Adrián Fernández and David Almansa completing Friday in 10th and 15th respectively:

  • Clear skies welcomed us for Free Practice 1 at Jerez.
  • Performing a solid session, both Le0pard riders worked on their feeling this morning, lowering their times until the very last lap. Adrián Fernández finished 3rd with a time of 1’45.223, while David Almansa did so in 6th with a 1’45.272.
  • A challenging afternoon awaited today, with the two Spaniards crashing in the early stages of Practice. Fortunately, both of them are fine and, thanks to the team’s quick work, they were able to get back on track.
  • Adrián Fernández was able to improve on his last lap to sit 10th today with a 1’45.153, securing a seat in Q2. David Almansa, on the other hand, couldn’t improve and will have to go through Q1 tomorrow, finishing Friday in 15th place with a time of 1’45.619.
  • See you tomorrow for qualifying day!
“It’s always a pleasure to come to this track! I’m very grateful to be able to experience it again, because it’s amazing to ride at home. As for today, it was a difficult day, but the feeling was very good overall. Despite crashing in Practice, we were able to set a good final lap to get into Q2. Tomorrow we will focus on working on the areas we struggle the most towards the race”

“First difficult day here in Jerez. It didn’t go as we expected as a crash prevented me from improving my lap time in Practice today, not being able to get a seat in Q2. I want to apologise to the team, I’ll make it up for it tomorrow”
