Le0pard Racing completes the Japanese Grand Prix with a bittersweet Sunday, in which Adrián Fernández crossed the finish line in 5th place and David Almansa crashed two laps from the end:
- Sunday dawned under cloudy skies at Motegi.
- From 6th on the grid, Adrián Fernández dropped a few places on the start, falling to 10th, but quickly overtaking for 9th. David Almansa, for his part, managed to move up from 24th to 13th, soon making his way into 11th.
- Climbing up places as the laps went by, Adrián Fernández was already 5th with 12 laps to go, with David Almansa right behind in 6th. It was 10 laps from the end that it started raining as the two Le0pard riders overtook for 3rd and 4th place.
- The sun came out again with David Almansa in 3rd, overtaken to 4th by teammate Adrián Fernández. The two Spaniards kept pushing, but were eventually overtaken to 5th and 6th position.
- Two laps from the end, David Almansa crashed out of the race when he was 6th, not being able to finish today’s race. Adrián Fernández, on the other hand, crossed the finish line in 5th place today.
