The first round of the Moto4 European Cup at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya came to an end for the Leopard Junior Team with a solid result from Edoardo Savino, who secured the podium in 2nd place, missing out on victory by just 0.006s. Kevin Cancellieri crossed the finish line in 18th position, while Ziven Rozul Abiy Salim took part in the Last Chance Race, finishing 6th.

“The weekend went really well overall! We started strong on Thursday, already setting a good pace, and kept improving on Friday. A small mistake prevented me from improving further in Q2 on Saturday, so I started 7th on the grid on Sunday. I had a strong start to the race and stayed inside the top positions for most of it. In the final laps, I entered the podium fight in 3rd place and fought for the win until the last corner, where I made a small mistake and missed out on victory by just 0.006s. I want to thank the team for the hard work they have done this weekend, and I’m already looking forward to the next one in Estoril!”
Kevin Cancellieri, 18th
“The weekend was not easy as I struggled with front-end feeling on Thursday and Friday, but we made good progress on Saturday and improved the bike, which allowed for a positive Q1. I started from 20th on the grid, finishing the race in 18th. Although the result is not what we are aiming for, the weekend gave us important information regarding both setup and race pace. I want to thank the team for their hard work and the positive atmosphere throughout the weekend. Our goal moving forward is to keep improving as much as possible in the next rounds, aiming to bring better results for the team, sponsors, and everyone supporting us.”
