Grand Prix of the Netherlands: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the Dutch Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández in 9th position and Guido Pini in 18th:

  • Starting from 10th on the grid, Adrián Fernández remained around his starting position. Guido Pini, on the other hand, dropped from 9th to 16th at the start. The Spaniard soon moved into the leading group, climbing up to 5th on Lap 3, while the Italian recovered to 11th one lap later.
  • Adrián Fernández entered the fight for the podium places, moving into 3rd on Lap 5. After dropping to 4th and several position changes in a tightly contested group, the Spaniard crossed the finish line in 8th, but a 3-second penalty due to exceeding track limits dropped him to 9th in the end.
  • Guido Pini tried to push from 11th, moving up to 10th on Lap 6 before dropping back again as the race progressed. The Italian was also handed a 3-second penalty due to exceeding track limits, as well as a 1-position penalty due to exceeding track limits on the last lap, eventually finishing 18th.
  • See you at the Sachsenring in two weeks’ time.
“It was a difficult race today. We were fighting in the group, but there are still areas we need to improve together with the team. We will keep working hard to regain our confidence and turn things around as quickly as possible”

“It wasn’t the race we expected. I struggled with grip and also made a mistake after 6 or 7 laps at Turn 8. I lost the group and was not able to catch them again. We have to take the positives from this weekend though. We were back fighting at the front on Friday and Saturday, and also had a better qualifying. We will work to take that positive feeling into the next race weekend in Germany”
