Grand Prix of Germany: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the German Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández in 6th position and Guido Pini in 15th:

  • Adrián Fernández, starting from 10th on the grid, dropped a couple of places at the start, but quickly recovered to sit 9th on Lap 2. Guido Pini, starting from 22nd, moved up to 17th.
  • Both riders continued to make their way through the field. Adrián Fernández was up to 8th on Lap 8, while Guido Pini had progressed to 14th. The Spaniard soon overtook for 7th, moving into 6th halfway through the race. The Italian dropped to 15th, crossing the finish line in that same position.
  • Maintaining a consistent pace, Adrián Fernández tried to close the 3.8-second gap to the group ahead, having reduced it to 2.9 seconds with four laps to go. The Spaniard couldn’t close the gap any further, finishing today’s race in 6th place.
  • See you after the summer break at Silverstone!
“It was a challenging race, especially in the opening laps, as it took us some time to find our place. Once I was able to ride on my own and set my pace, I felt much more comfortable, and the bike was feeling really good. If we had had a better start to the race and made some more overtakes to find our pace earlier, we could have fought for a better result today. I think we’re taking positive steps forward, and that’s starting to show in both the results and our feeling with the bike. A big thanks to the team. I wish them all a great summer break!”

“Today’s race was difficult and definitely not what I expected. We managed to score one point today after starting so far back on the grid, but we were still too far from the front. Now we need to understand what we are missing and keep working hard to be ready for Silverstone in three weeks”
