Grand Prix of Austria: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race from the fifth and sixth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in 14th and Guido Pini in 18th:

  • Saturday dawned at Spielberg with tricky conditions on track. Guido Pini finished a wet Free Practice 2 in 6th position with a time of 1’48.844, ahead of Adrián Fernández in 8th with a 1’49.177.
  • Successfully progressing from Q1 to Q2, Guido Pini will sit 18th on the grid, clocking a 1’41.232. Adrián Fernández, for his part, will start from 14th, setting a 1’40.801 in Q2 today.
  • We can’t wait to race!
“We had mixed conditions on track this morning and only did four laps, just to get some feeling. Qualifying wasn’t easy, but I wanted to try it on my own, both to build confidence and keep working on my pace. Things felt better overall, so it was a positive day despite the result. We will try to do our best tomorrow.”

“We were quite competitive in wet conditions this morning, improving the feeling with the bike. In the afternoon, I was able to make it through from Q1 to Q2, but we couldn’t make the most of the work we had already done to qualify further up in Q2. Tomorrow we’ll have to make up some ground and, as always, try to get as far forward as possible.”
