Grand Prix of San Marino: Saturday

Le0pard Racing will start tomorrow’s race at Misano from the second and fifth rows of the grid, with Adrián Fernández in 6th and David Almansa in 13th:

  • Sunny skies welcomed us today for Free Practice 2 this morning. Working on their feeling towards the race, Adrián Fernández finished 6th with a time of 1’40.965, while David Almansa did so in 9th with a 1’41.006.
  • A difficult Q2 was in store for David Almansa today, who crashed at Sector 1 early on, qualifying in 13th place with the 1’41.138 he set on his previous lap. Adrián Fernández, on the other hand, kept improving until his last flying lap, in which he set a 1’40.508 to start from 6th tomorrow.
  • We can’t wait to race!
“We will be starting from the 6th spot of the grid again. Of course, we would have liked to have qualified better today, but it’s not a bad result either. We still have to work on a few details ahead of the race, but we’re ready and looking forward to giving our best tomorrow!”

“Today was a tough one. A crash in Q2 left us with no chance of securing a better starting position for tomorrow’s race. I braked late going into the corner and lost the front before I could save it. Despite this, we’re focusing on the positives of the weekend so far, aiming for a good result tomorrow”
