Grand Prix of Malaysia: Friday

The nineteenth round of the season got underway today at the Sepang International Circuit, with Adrián Fernández finishing Friday in 2nd place and Ángel Piqueras in 11th:

  • Wet conditions welcomed us today for Free Practice of the Malaysian Grand Prix.
  • Both Ángel Piqueras and Adrián Fernández delivered a solid performance in the morning, testing the track to finish in 1st and 4th position respectively. Ángel Piqueras clocked a 2’23.835, while Adrián Fernández put in a 2’24.610.
  • Later in the afternoon, the sun was out for Practice 1, in which the two Spaniards improved on an already dry track.
  • Adrián Fernández finished Friday at Sepang in 2nd position with a time of 2’11.457, while Ángel Piqueras did so in 11th with a time of 2’12.286.

“The fact that I was able to do a solid race last year at Sepang helped me a lot today, as I have been able to find the pace quickly. I feel that this is a track that suits my riding style very well, which is also a positive thing looking ahead into the weekend.
