The first day of action at the Sachsenring wraps up with Adrián Fernández and Guido Pini in 17th and 21st place respectively:
- Friday got off to a positive start for both Le0pard riders in Free Practice 1. Guido Pini finished 3rd with a time of 1’26.209, ahead of teammate Adrián Fernández in 4th with a 1’26.214.
- Practice, on the other hand, was more challenging, leaving both riders out of Q2. Guido Pini suffered a crash at Turn 7 early in the session and was unable to rejoin, finishing 21st with a time of 1’26.754. Adrián Fernández, for his part, struggled to improve and finished 17th with the 1’26.266 he set on his second run.
- See you tomorrow for qualifying day!
It was a difficult first day at the Sachsenring as we couldn’t make it into Q2. However, I don’t think today’s result reflects our true potential. I was fast this morning, so I decided to try to do it alone in Practice. Maybe the result would have been different if we had done it with the group, as the gaps within the top 14 are very tight, but I’m confident we can take a step forward tomorrow”
“We could have ended the day on a better note. We had a really good feeling this morning, as shown by our 3rd place in Free Practice 1, but a crash in Practice prevented me from continuing the session and fighting for a place in Q2. I made a mistake at Turn 7 and couldn’t rejoin. Despite this, I’m confident we can turn things around tomorrow”
