Le0pard Racing completes the Aragon Grand Prix with Guido Pini crossing the finish line in 9th position, ahead of Adrián Fernández in 10th:
- From 8th on the grid, Adrián Fernández had a good start to today’s race, quickly setting a strong pace to move up to 6th. Guido Pini dropped a couple of places from 11th, placing 13th.
- Pushing to catch up with the group in front during the early stages of the race, Adrián Fernández held onto 6th position. After some overtakes, going wide on Lap 11, the Spaniard dropped to 11th.
- Guido Pini, for his part, had moved up to 11th by Lap 7, before being overtaken and dropping to 12th a lap later. The Italian pushed in the final stages of the race, overtaking teammate Adrián Fernández on the last lap to finish today’s race in 9th position. The Spaniard crossed the finish line right behind him in 10th.
- See you in Misano in two weeks’ time!
It was a good weekend, definitely one of the best of the last few races. It’s a bit of a shame that we spent too much time behind in the group in today’s race, as I was struggling to overtake. Nevertheless, I think we have built a good base here to go to Misano with a better feeling and a stronger pace than we’ve had lately. We need to prepare well, but for sure we will arrive there with a more positive mindset after this weekend in Aragón.”
“I really tried to give my best today. The race was quite fast and I didn’t have the best feeling with the bike at the beginning, but after two or three laps I started to feel better. The setup we had today was the one I liked the most this weekend, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to fight further up. I was pushed wide several times, which cost me a lot of time and positions, and I also struggled with tyre management. We are working hard to get back to where we want to be. We’ll try to get there in the next one in Misano.”
