Grand Prix of Japan: Sunday

Le0pard Racing completes the Japanese Grand Prix with Adrián Fernández in 13th position, while a crash at Turn 8 prevented Guido Pini from finishing today’s race:

  • From 11th on the grid, Adrián Fernández moved up to 9th on the first lap. Guido Pini, on the other hand, dropped from 14th to 22nd. The Spaniard dropped back to 11th on Lap 4, while the Italian was already 20th.
  • Although Adrián Fernández kept pushing, placing 9th by Lap 11, he went wide with four laps to go, dropping to 15th. Guido Pini, who had recovered to 17th position, crashed at Turn 8 on Lap 12, not being able to complete today’s race.
  • Adrián Fernández made his way up to 11th in the final stages of the race, but eventually crossed the finish line in 13th place.
  • See you next week at Mandalika.
“It was a very difficult race, to be honest. I gave it everything, and I’m happy with that, but we didn’t have much more today. We have to keep working hard. We will try again in Indonesia next week.”

“Today was tough. We didn’t get the result we wanted, but we have to take the positives from the weekend, especially yesterday, when I felt very comfortable with the bike. We have to build on that feeling in order to keep improving for the next races.”
