The second round of the 2025 season got underway today at the Circuito Termas de Río Hondo in Argentina, with David Almansa finishing Friday on top while Adrián Fernández did so in 10th:
- Wet conditions awaited us for Free Practice 1 this morning at Termas.
- David Almansa felt good from the beginning, improving progressively to set a 1’57.797 to finish in 3rd place. Adrián Fernández, for his part, was able to lower his time in his second run, finishing in 5th place with a time of 1’58.165.
- The afternoon brought dry conditions for Practice, where both Spaniards secured their seats for tomorrow’s Q2.
- David Almansa continued with a good feeling also in the afternoon, topping the timesheets with an all-time lap record of 1’46.981. Adrián Fernández, on the other hand, struggled a bit, finishing Friday in 10th place with a 1’48.144.
- See you tomorrow for qualifying day!
“I love this track! Termas is a circuit in which I felt comfortable from the very first lap I did. Today, when we arrived and I saw the conditions, it felt like a déjà vu of my first time here. That, plus the way the team motivates me, made me feel really confident going out on track this morning. Then, in the afternoon, the feeling continued to be great. We made some changes that helped us to improve even further, being able to be the fastest today. I’m really happy!”
“I struggled a little today due to the conditions, not being able to find the feeling. In the morning, with wet conditions, I was able to improve towards the end of the session. However, later in Practice, I really struggled to put everything in place. It has not been the Friday we would have liked, but I know that there’s still work to be done, and we will analyse everything today in order to find improvements in both feeling and pace tomorrow morning before qualifying”
