Grand Prix of San Marino: Friday

It’s always a pleasure being back at the iconic Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli! The first day of free practice sessions on Italian soil has been very positive! These are the main reasons:

  • Dennis Foggia has started the day feeling comfortable and confident, since the last races he’s done a solid step forward, and now his momentum continues, he’s finished as the fastest of the day, setting a tremendous 1’42.009. The #7 likes this track and wants to make the most as he has options in the fight for the Championship.
  • Spaniard Xavi Artigas, who is still recovering from the last race crash, has ended up the 9th after the FP1 and the 14th (1’43.112) on the combined standings. To point out that he’s improved his free practice performance.
  • It will be important to pay attention to weather conditions as rain has been appearing throughout the day and that clearly jeopardizes the job inside the box and on track.
It’s been a really great day. I’ve set my best lap time in this track and I’ve felt good with the bike. We’ll try tomorrow to secure our spot in Q2, let’s see how it goes!”
Dennis Foggia,
winner
I’m still recovering but I’ve managed to do my best today. The important thing is that I’ve felt good with the bike and despite I’ve missed a flying lap in the FP2, I believe we can do a good job tomorrow. Let’s keep pushing!
