Another race weekend kicks off for Le0pard Racing, this time, beside the Adriatic Sea! Friday at the San Marino Grand Prix has been a great day for us overall. Let’s now analyse why:
- With clear skies and great weather conditions, Friday began with Practice 1 at the Misano World Circuit.
- Both Le0pard riders Jaume Masià and Tatsuki Suzuki took to the track, with the Spaniard topping the timesheets from the very beginning of the session. It took a few laps for the Japanese, but he soon started to show a good pace, improving lap by lap.
- Despite a very crowed track, the morning ended in style for Le0pard Racing. Jaume Masià continued to improve, dominating Practice 1 by setting the fastest time of the session, a 1’42.323. Teammate Tatsuki Suzuki did a great job in his second run, making his way into 3rd position with a time of 1’42.627.
- The afternoon came with Practice 2, again with clear skies but with a slightly strong wind that increased as the clock ticked down.
- Both Le0pard riders went out on track and tested the conditions, polishing the feeling progressively to start improving from the middle of the session onwards.
- Unfortunately, right when he was performing what was shaping up to be his fastest lap of the day so far, Tatsuki Suzuki suffered a big highside at Turn 10, which prevented him from continuing Practice 2.
- Thankfully, the Japanese quickly got back on his feet, being in full form and finishing Friday in 11th position on the combined with his best time from the morning session.
- In the meantime, Jaume Masià was on his mission to finish Friday on top, which he accomplished after setting a time of 1’42.154 on his second to last lap today.
- We’re already looking forward to tomorrow’s qualifying!
